MCC CC Penny Power: Working together for global change! Join our annual coin drive and help us raise $50,000 for Sand Dam projects in Kenya. Place of Refuge Update July 2010
Donations Needed for the Place of Refuge :
1. Two wardrobes (no more than 6 feet tall and 4-5 feet wide)
2. One large dining room table (9-10 feet long)
3. 2 bicycles
4. A person to look after our website, www.placeofrefuge.ca (It would be ideal to have a person who is both technically confident and who is interested in the recovery ministry.)
5. More computers – desktops or laptops (they tend to not last long because they come already well used)
6. Sports equipment – baseball, tennis racquets, street hockey sticks, etc.
7. Ongoing Financial Need – help with the day-to-day operations
8. The Offer: Ray Stinson and other board members availability to speak about the recovery ministry, and Place of Refuge in particular, in churches and small group settings – Sunday School, youth, small group, preaching.

Ahousaht Inter-Generational Summer Ministries Trip-August 14-22,2010. A trip to Ahousaht, an Aboriginal community North of Tofino, is begin planned for this summer. We’d like to put together a team of all ages to go and spend time building upon the relationships we formed over the past years in this community. This year's service opportunities will include running kids club (VBS), sing alongs, campfires, visitations of elders, and possibly some landscaping. Please talk to Anthony or Shelley Dyck if you have any questions or are interested in coming.

MCBC Women’s Ministry Retreat weekend October 15-17,2010 – come to fellowship
with sisters in Christ. Featured guest is speaker is Feather Janz, two times
breast cancer survivor and, for the first time ever, a concert on Saturday evening featuring recording artist, Lisa Adrianne, who lost her mother to breast cancer. For further information please see the poster below...
