MENNONITE WORLD CONFERENCE 2009

Hundreds of Mennonites from around the world will be meeting this week in Asuncion, Paraguay from July 14-19 for our World Conference. Please pray that courage and wisdom will accompany all who lead worship, workshops, tours and other activities at the Assembly. Pray that all the participants will experience safe travel and will join the gathering with open hearts to learn more of what it means to be part of God's people worldwide.

We also ask for prayers for the group from our church that are travelling to and from Paraguay. May God grant them travelling mercies and bring them home rested and revived.

FUMC Drop-in Centre is now open Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays from 1-4 pm.

This is a great place for school aged children and teens to hang out, meet new people, play games and learn about our community. If you are interested, please send us an email.

NEIGHBOURHOOD BLOCK PARTY

We have an amazing event this Saturday, July 18 from 12 noon to 4pm at our church. All are welcome to join us for a free BBQ, games and live music. Some of the musicians will be Sam Dueckman, Maria Krause, Juan Carlos Pavez & Alejandro Melendez and a Jazz group from Ebenezer Baptist. Please plan on attending as this will be a great way to know our neighbours. This is a joint venture of Kingcrest & the Outreach and Service Committee.
